Dr. Arita is a native Californian of Japanese descent. After graduating from Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill in 1983, she earned her B.A. in Sports Medicine from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA in 1987. Subsequently, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco, CA in June of 1991. She then practiced dentistry in many environments. From these various experiences, though she thoroughly enjoyed practicing dentistry for the Navy as a civilian, she discovered that the pace of private practice suited her best. In June of 1996 she "adopted" Dr. J. Victor LoGrasso's "dental family". She really enjoys developing rapport with the members of her dental family and sharing personal and life experiences.
Dr. Arita is married to a wonderful man, Dan Ward. Together they have a son in elementary school and a little toddler.
Dr. Arita has been active in the local component of the California Dental Association and finished her term as president of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society in 2004.
